Issue Spotlight

Jared & Jensen

A sensational new interview with the stars of Supernatural kicks off the latest issue of Supernatural Magazine. According to Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, season four has been the show’s biggest and best yet, while it’s arguably been the strangest, too – with a talking teddy bear, impromptu air guitar, and Dean in those red gym shorts. As the season comes to its end, Jared and Jensen talk to Supernatural Magazine about why the latest chapter of Supernatural has been their favorite to date.

Features

FALL FROM GRACE – JULIE MCNIVEN

Actress Julie McNiven was best known before Supernatural as slimy Pete Campbell’s put-upon secretary Hildy on the multi-award-winning Mad Men, but found herself playing a character very much at the front and center of the action in her guest appearance on the show. Introduced in the season four episode I Know What You Did Last Summer, Anna Milton proved to be a very different kind of angel. In the latest issue of Supernatural Magazine, we talk to Julie about fallen angels, chocolate cake, “Kool-Aid hair,” and that steamy love scene with Dean Winchester.

THE GORY DETAILS

Supernatural Magazine takes you behind the scenes of the hit CW show with a host of revealing special features. In the latest issue, check out the story behind some of the show’s most gory moments with special effects makeup artist Toby Lindala. You can take a look at an image gallery from the feature on our Facebook page – but be warned, it’s not for the faint-hearted! Plus, Supernatural stunt coordinator Lou Bollow talks about the tricks of the trade, while costume designer Diane Widas reveals the challenges of dressing Sam, Dean, and everyone in-between!

CAST INTERVIEWS

The latest issue of Supernatural Magazine is packed with sensational interviews with the show’s supporting cast and guest stars: Jim Beaver talks about his role as Sam and Dean’s father figure Uncle Bobby; The Wire and Prison Break actor Robert Wisdom gives his take on playing the avenging angel Uriel; Traci Dinwiddie looks back on her time on the show as our favorite blind psychic Pamela; and Mark Rolston, the actor who played Alastair’s first “meat suit”, reveals what it was like playing the demon who made Dean’s life miserable.
